Job Title: Junior Data Analyst Business Systems
Location: Central Office - Data and Accountability Division
Nature of Position:

This position is responsible for data mining, analysis, reporting, and training services on business systems.

Reports To: Senior Director Applications, Development and Maintenance
Salary Range: $15.73 hourly min - $25.02 hourly max

Associate degree in computer information systems or related field.



Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related field


Experience, Skill, Know-How and Certification:
  • Demonstrated experience gathering data requirements and performing data analysis on business systems to include data extracting, transforming, and loading data in a variety of file format.
  • Proficient in using data tools and creating complex queries to run against database systems
  • Strong problem solving skills, analytical/design skills, and has the abilities to identify data and data model inconsistencies and conflicts.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills - ability to work well and to get along with a variety of customers and other technical personnel.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to write comprehensive reports, conduct presentations, training sessions, and meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Documents processes, procedures, updates, and requirements of business systems.
2. Ensures reports and data provided is of highest quality and accuracy through participation in peer review.
3. Monitors and maintains business systems and provides customer support and training.
4. Performs data auditing and process validation by creating and executing application test scripts and test plans. Quality control reports provided to customers and training team for correction and follow up. 
5. Uses reporting tools for analysis and manipulation of large sets of business data for data driven decision making.
6. Assist with training development and delivery.
7. Accurately completes and submits routine and ad hoc reports to customers.
8. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with customers and technical personnel in order to develop insight into how business data is used for problem solving and reporting.
9. Maintains a production schedule listing jobs, due dates, and customers.
10. Participates in multiple projects and meets established deadlines.
11. Perform related duties as necessary for organizational effectiveness.

Terms of Employment: Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This will be a 260 day position. Hourly (G-10) NON-EXEMPT   0214
